The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) is the study of the Catholic Faith for adults seeking to enter into the full-visible communion of the Church.
RCIA is offered for adults in one of the three following situations:
- Un-baptized adults who desire to be baptized in the Catholic Church;
- Baptized non-Catholic Christians who desire to be formally admitted into full-visible communion with the Catholic Church;
- Baptized Catholics who have not yet been confirmed and desire to receive the sacrament of Confirmation.
RCIA begins each year in September and continues through the Celebration of the Easter Vigil where RCIA candidates receive the sacraments of the Church. To sign-up and join RCIA or inquire about this discipleship preparation, contact the parish office at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We beseech you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
